“The Golden Réard”
There is only one custom made by bikini inventor Louis Réard: the “Golden Réard”; the other copies received are series productions. The “Golden Réard” was created especially for the winner of the “Miss Réard” competition. Experts date the production year to 1948. In terms of its design, the piece is timeless and unique in both color and cut. Even according to today's ideas, the “Golden Réard” is considered as aesthetic masterpiece. The unique piece is therefore as The most historically valuable bikini in the world to be considered.

The Réard bikinis: jewels from the collection
The total 17 Still preserved Louis Réard pieces are valuable products of his work. The BikiniARTmuseum has 13 originals. A further two are in extended family ownership. The remaining specimens are on display in the “Musée Galliera” and the “Louvre” museums in Paris.
